Since the start of business for our Middle East office in February 2003, Fire Security has developed a large market both onshore and offshore for fire protection and jacket repair of electrical cables.

Our main clientele includes all six major Aluminium Smelters in the region for cable fire protection and major Gas Operators for cable lifetime extension such as Shell GTL Qatar, GASCO, and ADNATCO NGSCO in Abu Dhabi.

Fire Security Middle East has successfully executed several cable fire protection projects on LNG tankers on passage. We have provided cable life extension repairs and fireproofing of cargo electrical cables onboard the ADNATCO NGSCO LNG Fleet owned by Abu Dhabi National Tanker Co.

Fire Security Middle East manager, Jesper Rexen and his team in UAE have been busy during 2016 and 2017 with many new projects.

We recently conducted cable repair and fire coating for MOL LNG tankers. Fire Security have completed fire technical upgrades on electrical cables in diesel generator rooms and emergency generator spaces onboard their Q-Flex LNG tankers.

Late 2016 we finished cable fire coating of 6000 meters of ‎11 kV Medium Voltage cables at Burj Khalifa – Dubai Mall Tunnel – Fashion Avenue Extension Project in Dubai.

Fire Security has also completed cable fire protection in the Utilities ‎and Feed Gas Process areas at Shell GTL in Qatar Ras Laffan, the world’s largest Gas to Liquid plant.

In January 2017 Fire Security Middle East was occupied with cable fireproofing applications at Dubai Aluminium Company, Green Mill, and Power generations areas.

Fire Security Middle East was awarded a large project for Emirates Global Aluminium Emal in Abu Dhabi. EGA has chosen Fire Security to upgrade the fire standard of electrical cables in their Water Treatment reverse osmosis LV/MV Electrical Room and their Steam Turbine cable pull pits. EGA is one of the world’s five largest primary aluminum producers.

Fire Security Middle East operates in the Gulf Corporation Council countries (GCC).

Fire Security offers fire protection engineering including cable repair and coating in UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.

Fire Security Middle East is the only cable-coating producer offering DNV certified turnkey applications with a warranty of up to ten years. We are also the only regional turnkey applicator to maintain a fully stocked distribution centre.

Cable protection with a compliant coating system.

Fire Security conducts fire protection coating on electrical cables with either FS1-intumescent or FS5-ablative coating. Our FS5 ablative coating is resistant to UV, mud, oil, and chemicals and is approved to repair and restore the outer sheath of damaged cables. The coating will increase the life expectancy of the cables outer sheath.

Fire Security’s cable coatings FS1 and FS5 are tested to provide fire resistance in accordance with a hydrocarbon fire curve of 1100° C for one hour in accordance with the IEC 60331 regulation.
