Jan 29 – SOUTH KOREA. Back in Korea and visiting a massive power plant today for a new survey and to check the result of our first pilot project a few months back. All good but way too cold for a tropical Viking, says Paal Mathisen.

Febr. 15 – Paal Mathisen in Australia. Another busy week in Perth, visiting oil & gas operators and site visit for a new potential client, a major mining company. FS products and services for cable protection are used in many industries.
Febr. 18 – Mohamed Alawi and Jesper Rexen traveling in Egypt with our Egyptian agents O&G Quest. Successful business development week in Egypt including surveys in south Sinai for Petrobel offshore, attending the EGYPS 2020 oil and gas exhibition in Cairo, and visit to EZ Steel in Alexandria.
Febr. 24 – 10-year recertification of fire-protected electrical cables onboard Aida Cruises ship AIDAmar completed in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, by Piotr Bober.
March 3 – Paal Mathisen in Indonesia. Kick-off today for Norwep workshop for Pertamina in Jakarta. Several Norwegian companies introducing their technology for production enhancement and life extension and Fire Security is one of them.
March 7 – A big SALUTE to Norwegian Energy Partners, the Norwegian Embassy and Pertamina for a successful 2 days technical workshop in Jakarta. Paal Mathisen, 3rd left, is our Asia Pacific manager.
April 14 – John Olaf Ryen is working onboard National Geographic newest vessel Endurance. Due to the fact that this vessel is in Norway Fire security is still able to execute business, under these difficult times. July 15 – BUSINESS MUST GO ON. Our Malaysia crew have gained experience working with FS the last few years and together with online training, we are mobilizing a fully local crew offshore today for a 3 weeks campaign for Shell Sarawak. Good luck and stay safe.

Aug. 27 – Fire Security Middle East delivering cable repair materials to an LNG vessel in Dubai on behalf of our colleagues in Asia – Pacific. Fire Security has a long history in protecting cables on LNG vessels. These applications are typically done on passage by small teams.
Sept. 1 – Fire Security Middle East Senior Supervisor Muhammad Suleman Dar and Senior Applicator Muhammad Daniyal Zafar underway on delivery of an 11 kV Substation cable coating project in Qurriyat – Sultanate of Oman.
Sept. 13 – CEMENT PLANT in Korea: Led by Steven Chong, Piotr Kanczkowski, and Łukasz Grzenkowski, with the support of our agent, Kangnam Drive Co., Ltd, delivered very successful and satisfying fire protection and life extension of electrical cables in 15 motor control centers (MCC) where more than 1000 meters of electrical cables were fire protected.

Sept. 28 – CABLE FIRE PROTECTION IN KOREA: FS Asia-Pacific is proud to have completed yet another successful fire protection on electrical cables project in the cement plant’s underground cable tunnel. Although the working conditions were not optimal, we delivered the work scope without any incidents or accidents. Led by Steven Chong, Operation Manager Asia Pacific, with our specialists Łukasz Grzenkowski and Piotr Kanczkowski.

Oct. 7 – CABLE FIRE PROTECTION for cruise ships. First project completed after a long break. Le Bougainville for Ponant Cruises in Bordeaux, France. Piotr Bober did the work.
Oct. 15 – Fire Security Middle East recently completed a small but critical scope of work on the Route 2020 Metro Rail project to protect electrical power emergency cables against fire. Applications were conducted with Fire Security’s FS1 coating on live cables and without shutdown.

Dec. 11 – CABLE SURVEY at an industrial plant in Indonesia. The plant Maintenance team and Steven Chong, Fire Security Asia Pacific Operation Manager, conduct a cable survey at the cable rooms.
